About Us
Cub Scout Pack 162 is chartered by the Keowee Elementary School PTA in Seneca, SC. We are dedicated to providing scouting opportunities for both girls and boys from kindergarten through 5th grade. As part of the Three Rivers District within the Blue Ridge Council, our Pack 162 welcomes cub scouts from the local area, including those from Keowee Elementary, Oconee Christian Academy, Northside Elementary, Walhalla Elementary, and even homeschool students. We welcome cub scouts from surrounding towns such as Seneca, Walhalla, Westminster, West Union, and Salem.
Our mission aligns with the BSA vision, nurturing our youth into conscientious and responsible individuals—both boys and girls—by instilling lifelong values and developing ethical character traits as outlined in the Scout Oath and Law. We aim to create a community-focused environment, ensuring that scouting remains inclusive, fun, and engaging for all.
To ensure a safe mentoring experience for our cub scouts, all our leaders undergo proper training through Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America). We also encourage our leaders to participate in regular Scout training events and monthly round tables.
Cub Scout meetings for Pack 162 take place every other Sunday at 2:00 PM during the school year at our scout hut on Golf Drive in Seneca, SC. The scout hut is conveniently located behind the Keowee Ebeneezer fire department, adjacent to Keowee Elementary.
